The Smashing Pumpkins are coming to PreZero Arena Gliwice to play their one and only gig in Poland! The show will feature support from Interpol.
The Smashing Pumpkins are bringing The World Is A Vampire Tour to PreZero Arena Gliwice on 2nd June 2024, featuring Interpol as a special guest.
When The Smashing Pumpkins first emerged out of Chicago in 1988, the world had never heard a band quite like them. They spun together rock, pop, metal, goth, psychedelia, and electronic into a kaleidoscope of saccharine melodies, bombastic orchestration and eloquent songcraft. Upon their formation, their sound was different, iconoclastic, and wholly new — and it still is today. As a result, they’ve sold over 30 million albums worldwide and collected two GRAMMY® Awards, two MTV VMAs, and an American Music Award.
This year, The Smashing Pumpkins released their latest album, ATUM. The sequel to 1995’s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and 2000’s Machina/Machine of God, ATUM features 33-tracks in 3 acts and was written and produced by Billy Corgan.
Speaking to their influence, filmmakers ranging from David Lynch and Cameron Crowe to Kevin Smith have utilized their music in addition to dozens of film, television, and video game placements. Everyone from Kid Cudi to Panic! At The Disco has also either sampled or covered their music.
If anything sums up the journey so far, it’s one everlasting verse from a song you most likely know, “We’re not the same, we’re different.”
