Autumn is getting closer, and with it return Theatre Mornings at the PreZero Arena Gliwice! 🍂🎭
Ahead of us are three Sunday theatre meetings, during which the youngest spectators and their adults will be transported to a world full of imagination, humour, music and extraordinary characters. The autumn repertoire includes three completely different stories: about a friendly dinosaur, a spoilt princess and... the craziest circus under the sun.
We'll see each other on 20 September, 11 October and 15 November. All performances start at 12:00.
20 September, 12:00 – „Theo, the Friendly Dinosaur”
Are dinosaurs really extinct? Theo apparently slept through that moment in history and suddenly found himself in a world where it's very hard to meet someone like himself.
Fortunately, musical Smoczysław the Dragon, Aga the Strzyga and, of course… the audience will appear on his path! Together, we will try to help Teo find friends and discover that being different does not have to mean being lonely.
The show combines humour with interesting facts about dinosaurs, and on stage a variety of theatrical techniques will appear – pantomime, hand puppets, musical elements, juggling, ballet, and even elements of a fireshow. There will also be music, dance and talk about friendship, acceptance and the power of cooperation.
11th October, 12:00 – „The Tale of Princess Marysia and the Ice Mountain”
We are moving to the Kingdom of Silver Peak, where King Stick, Queen Ribbon and their greatest treasure – Princess Marysia – live. Beautiful? Without a shadow of a doubt. Spoilt? You bet!
Can anyone manage to change the princess's character? What do the Black Swan and the mysterious Ice Mountain have to do with the whole story?
Kornel Makuszyński's tale humorously reminds us how important sensitivity, friendship, love and openness to others are. The performance combines acting with puppet theatre, and the colourful characters and witty language ensure that not only the youngest will have a great time on this fairy-tale journey.
15th November, 12:00 – „C jak CYRK”
At the end of the autumn edition of Theatre Mornings, we invite you to an extraordinary circus where letters will be just as important as acrobatics, juggling and artistic performances!
„C is for CIRCUS” will take the youngest ones to the wacky tent of the alphabetical circus. There will be plenty of laughter, audience interaction, language games, and acrobatic displays. Children will exercise their speech apparatus, learn interesting facts and nuances of the Polish language, and along the way discover what extraordinary stories can be created from the alphabet.
This will be accompanied by live music – accordion, percussion and vocals performed by an artist from Mała Armia Janosika. And somewhere along the way, there will also appear… the world's only animal starting with the letter Y.
Three Sundays, three stories and plenty of theatre emotion
Theatre Mornings are an opportunity to discover theatre with children in a light, engaging and fun-filled format. Each of the autumn performances tells a different story and uses different stagecraft, which is why it is worth joining us not just once, but three times!
